Pre-Professional Classes & Intensives 2011
Classical Ballet Academy

Intermediate/Advanced week long ballet intensive with Master Teacher/Artist/Dancer/Former Professional Ballerina,
Carolyn (Martin) Santonicola.

August 15th - 19th, 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
$500, at CBA

Very limited space - you must be in Ballet V or higher to attend (audition required if you are not in the CBA Pre-Professional program). In addition to technique classes, pointe classes, she is going to teach the styling and some of the variations from the famous ballet Les Sylphides andSwan Lake. Please submit a $50 non-refundable deposit to secure your placement in the workshop.
(Short Bio: Miss Carolyn graduated early from high school and at the young age of 17 joined the world famous Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo Ballet Company. After the Ballet Russe Company closed she joined and was a Soloist with the Metropolitan Opera Ballet in New York City for seven years. She was privileged to have the famous ballet Les Sylphides set on her by Alicia Markova. After marrying her husband, Frank Santonicola, a French Horn Player for the New York Metropolitan Opera, she retired from the stage to raise their two lovely children and began teaching. She has taught ballet for the last 39 years and for the past 30 years she has run her own ballet studio. Miss Sarah trained with her when she was dancing in New York.)


Beginning of the Summer 2 week intensive

Start the summer off with intensive classes and improve your technique. Dancers should sign up for the level they were placed in during the 2010/2011 school year (not the level they will attend in Fall 2011). Spaces are extremely limited. Session I: June 6th - 9th & June 13th - 16th
Level A: 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Ballet III/IV ($120)
Level B: 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Ballet V/ VI ($120)


Two All Day Summer 2 Week Intensives

For Ballet III and Higher. Taught by CBA Director, Sarah Rigles, CBA Staff and Guest Master Teachers (Joshua Filmer, Leoannis Pupo-Guillen, Vanessa Laws, Cora Guren, and more).
Summer programs are offered all over the world with costs ranging from $1500 - $5000 just for two weeks. This summer stay at CBA to improve your ballet technique, pointe work, cross training, musicality, pas de deux work, musical theory and overall strength. Dancers can choose to take two weeks or four weeks. Spaces are extremely limited. Please sign up for Level A - if you were in Ballet III or IV during the 2010/2011 academic year and please sign up for B - if you were in Ballet V/VI during the 2010/2011 academic year. There will be two separate levels. Please email office@classicalballet.net to reserve your dancer's space.
Session I (Levels A and B): July 11th - 14th & July 18th - 21st, 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Session II (Levels A and B): August 1st -4th & August 8th - 11th, 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
($400 for 2 weeks or $750 for four weeks)


Group A (Ballet III/IV) : All Intensives regular price: $870;
Discounted Price for Unlimited classes: $800.00

Group B (Ballet V/VI): All Intensives - including Miss Carolyn's workshop - regular price: $1370.00;
Discounted Price for Unlimited Classes: $1275.00

All payments are due by the first date of each intensive. If you would like to spread out your payments over the summer months please contact the Office at office@classicalballet.net and we will set up a payment plan for you.

Nutcracker 2011 Auditions and Fall Placement Auditions will be held at Classical Ballet Academy on August 23rd. Exact times will be announced closer to the date.

Class cards apply ($120 for 10 classes or $15 for a drop-in class or pay a discounted rate of $200 for all 10 weeks/19 classes (no classes on 7/4))

Adult Summer Intensive

August 15th - 18th
5:00 - 7:00 p.m.

Class cards apply ($120 for 10 classes, or $15 drop in rate, or $45 special for the whole intensive).
This exciting intensive is an Open Teen/Adult Intensive (ages 14+) designed for Beginning and Intermediate Teen/Adult ballet students. Intensive classes will be taught by Master Teacher, Former Ballerina, Miss Carolyn Santonicola and Director of Classical Ballet Academy, Sarah Rigles. Join us for rare Adult Ballet Intensive.

For dancers level IV and Up (Adults and Standard Ballet IV and Up are also welcome) . $120.00 (if taking unlimited classes add $80 to the Unlimited price).

Class cards: Can be purchased $120 for 10 classes.

Rapunzel Fairy Tale Ballet Camp
June 27th - July 1st (with a small in-studio show on July 1st at 4:00 p.m.)

Taught by Classical Ballet Academy Alumni: Anna Grewe. Come join the fairytale land of ballet for a week this summer at Classical Ballet Academy. Both boys and girls will enjoy this week long ballet camp that focuses on the classical ballet tale of Rapunzel. Daily ballet technique classes, choreography, costume making, props and set design and a final in-studio performance at the end of the camp for friends and family, will make this summer unforgettable. Standard Ballet Intensives

Week Long intensives. Taught by CBA Staff
Improve your ballet technique with intensive classes. Classes include technique, pointe (or pre-pointe work), stretching, music awareness, choreography, contemporary dance and conditioning. Dancers should sign up for the level they were placed in during the 2010/2011 school year (not the level they will attend in Fall 2011). You can sign up for one or two weeks. Spaces are extremely limited. Please email office@classicalballet.net to reserve your dancer's space.
Session I: June 27th -June 30th
Standard Ballet III, IV, V: 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. ($150.00 for one week, $275 for two weeks)
