Please pre-register for all summer classes, camps and intensives. Spaces are extremely limited. Please email registration@classicalballet.net to secure your spot for summer 2010. Payment for summer classes, camps and intensives will be due by the first day of the camp, class and/or intensive.

Pre-Professional Classes & Intensives 2010
Classical Ballet Academy

Intermediate/Advanced week long ballet intensive with Master Teacher/Artist/Dancer,
Artur Sultanov, Principal Dancer with Oregon Ballet Theater

will be held atClassical Ballet Academy. July 5th – 9th, 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
$500, at CBA, technique, pointe, pas de deux, character dancing.
Very limited space – you must be in Ballet IV or higher to attend (audition required if you are not in the CBA Pre-Professional program). Please submit a $50 non-refundable deposit to secure your placement in the workshop.

Intermediate/Advanced End of the Summer Intensive with Miss Sarah.
August 16th – 19th, 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
$100, at CBA, Intensive technique and pointe work, getting ready for Nutcracker auditions. Very limited space – you must be in Ballet IV or higher to attend.

Ballet Intensives for SB IV, Boys and Ballet III Prep – VI. Taught by CBA Staff and Guest Teachers.
Start the summer off with intensive classes and improve your technique. Dancers should sign up for the level they were placed in during the 2009/2010 school year (not the level they will attend in Fall 2010). Dancers can sign up for one or two sessions. Spaces are extremely limited. Please email director@classicalballet.net to reserve your dancer’s space.

Ballet Intensives for SB IV, Boys and Ballet I Prep – Ballet VI. Taught by CBA Staff and Guest Teachers.
Improve your ballet technique this summer during these ballet intensives. Classes will focus on technique and learning new steps. Dancers should sign up for the level they were placed in during the 2009/2010 school year (not the level they will attend in Fall 2010). Dancers can sign up for one or two sessions. 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. Ballet II/III Prep (1 session $55, 2 sessions $100)
2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Ballet III/Boys/Standard Ballet IV (1 session $65, 2 sessions $120)
4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Ballet IV/V/VI (1 session $65, 2 sessions $120)

3 Week Ballet Intensive for SB IV and Ballet III and Up. Taught by CBA Staff and Guest Teachers. Three week long intensives designed for strong Boys, SBIV and Ballet III and Up dancers. Summer programs are offered all over the world with costs ranging from $1500 - $5000 just for two weeks. This summer stay at CBA to improve your ballet technique, pointe work, musicality, pas de deux work, musical theory and overall strength. Dancers can choose to take one, two or three weeks. Letters will be mailed to each student in June with a recommendation for Fall 2010/Spring 2011 class placement along with a new Fall 2010 schedule.

Pre-registration for Children’s Classes and Standard Ballet Classes (Creative Movement, Pre-Ballet I and II, Beginning Ballet, Boys Ballet,
Standard Ballet I, II, III), not requiring auditions will begin with email requests starting at 9:00 a.m., Thursday, June 10th. Please email director@classicalballet.net with your first and second class choice. Any additional spots remaining after email requests have been processed will be given to those that call 503.890.6101. On-line requests will be given priority over phone registration. Classes will be filled on a first come first serve basis. Classes will remain “open” until the student limit is reached. Students will then be placed on waiting lists. All dancers will be given the opportunity to perform in The Nutcracker shows.

Adult Summer Intensive

10:00 a.m. to noon
This intensive is an Open Teen/Adult Intensive (ages 14+) designed for Beginning and Intermediate Teen/Adult ballet students. Join us for this week long intensive. Class cards apply ($120 for 10 classes, or $15 drop in rate, or $45 special for the whole intensive).

Class cards: Can be purchased $120 for 10 classes.
$45 for the Adult Intensive or class cards apply.

Please register for the level your dancer was in during the 2009/2010 academic year not the class they will go into Fall 2010.
Creative Movement (3-4 year olds): Tuesdays, 2:00 p.m. – 2:45 p.m. ($45)
Pre-Ballet I (4-5 year olds): Tuesdays, 3:00 p.m. – 3:45 p.m. ($45)
Pre-Ballet II (5½ -6 year olds): Tuesdays, 3:45 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. ($45)
Beginning Ballet/Standard Ballet I: Tuesdays 4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. ($50)

Snow White Ballet Camp
June 28th – July 2nd (with a small in-studio show on July 2nd at 4:00 p.m.)
Taught by Classical Ballet Academy Alumni: Anna Grewe. Come join the fairytale land of ballet for a week this summer at Classical Ballet Academy. Both boys and girls will enjoy this week long ballet camp that focuses on the classical ballet tale of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Daily ballet technique classes, choreography, costume making, props and set design and a final in-studio performance at the end of the camp for friends and family, will make this summer unforgettable.
