 Annual Productions

CBA dancers enjoy the rare opportunity of performing on stage in a professional environment multiple times per year. We produce both full-length and abbreviated classical and contemporary productions such as The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Don Quixote, and Firebird.

Young Children's Program Productions

Our Young Children’s Program students (Creative Movement and Pre-Ballet) are invited to perform with their classes in The Nutcracker Sweet Suite each winter, and an annual spring ballet showcase each spring. This is the first time many of these young students perform on a large stage, so we focus on keeping the atmosphere fun and relaxed to ensure the dancers are able to have an enjoyable experience on stage.

Children's Program Productions

Our Children’s Program dancers in Ballet 1-5, Advanced Beginning Ballet, and Inclusive Dance, are invited to perform in The Children’s Nutcracker each winter and a full-length story ballet each spring. Contemporary 1-5, Modern/Improv 1-5 and Hip-Hop 1-5 dancers are invited to perform in contemporary performances each winter and spring as well. We believe that performance opportunities during the academic year are essential to growing as an artist in ballet.

Pre-Professional Program Productions

The Pre-Professional Program (Ballet 6-10, Contemporary 6-10, Modern/Improv 6-10 and Hip-Hop 6-10) students are expected to perform in our professional level productions as part of their training during the academic year. A full-length production of The Nutcracker is performed each winter, and full-length classical ballets are performed in the spring. The Contemporary classes perform in both winter and spring productions. Pre-Professional students are also invited to participate in a variety of performances in the community and for charitable organizations. CBA dancers have performed in Dance Collaborations for nonprofit organizations like The American Cancer Society, The Susan G. Komen Foundation, The Lupus Foundation, and Youth, Rights & Justice; and continue to perform locally for community centers and assisted living facilities, among others. We believe that giving back to the community as artists is an incredibly important part of our school.

 Performance Opportunities for Adults

We invite Adult program dancers to perform character roles in the Pre-Professional ballet productions and in our performances for charitable organizations. We feel strongly about giving adult dancers the opportunity to perform on stage as ballet is a performance art, and their presence adds to the strength of the CBA community.
